Freeda is a huge fan of her community, and loves to take everyone around town to see the sights. She loves the history of every place that she visits, and often takes a magical look back in time. She is also a huge fan of kindness, and is an honorary member of the Canton Kindness Coalition.
Freeda is a huge fan of her community and loves to take everyone around to see the sights. She loves the history of the places she visits, and often takes a magical look back in time. But she's also a huge fan of what's going on in EVERY community TODAY.
Freeda is on a mission to take us along with her as she visits each community. She wants to share the popular attractions, as well as the businesses, organizations, schools and people that make each community special. Every community has its own magic, and Freeda is an expert at finding that magic.
She wants to help communities in any way that she can. Whether it's providing children and adults with customized books about their communities, helping with fundraising efforts for organizations and schools, helping local businesses succeed, or helping to organize community events - Freeda is completely on board and ready to help.
Helping others is one of Freeda's favorite things. She would love to partner with organizations and businesses within your community, and pitch in with fundraising or advertising efforts. She believes strongly in sharing, so a generous portion of the profits from all sold items would go directly to the organization, and advertising costs are kept low.
Downloadable community-focused coloring page booklets and Kindle books are easy, budget-friendly options for fundraisers. They are easy to sell from web and social media sites, and there are no physical products to deliver. Printed children's books and coloring books customized to feature local attractions, events, businesses and organizations are also great fundraising options. Coupon booklets featuring Freeda visiting area businesses and restaurants are a fun and budget-friendly way to advertise, promote community awareness, and encourage people to "shop small and shop local."
Where should Freeda plan her next visit? If you're interested in getting to know Freeda better by inviting her to your community - GREAT! Contact her at freedasfootsteps@gmail.com to learn more.
Today, Freeda is a cute little tour guide and community enthusiast who lives within the pages of her books. But once upon a time, there was a real Freeda. Freeda was a beloved mother... and then grandmother... who loved her community. Camera always in hand, she took her children (and then grandchildren) on fun little tours around their city and the surrounding area. Picnic lunches, visits to parks, area attractions and local events were all part of Freeda's footsteps. She captured more than just photographs... she captured memories.
Although Freeda's earthly footsteps have now ceased, she lives on through Freeda's Footsteps. Her mission of helping to spread a love of community to the next generation is not yet finished - it has just taken on a different form.
Freeda's first book is a downloadable coloring sheet book, with ten pages of random acts of kindness that anyone can print and color.
Freeda hopes that you download her coloring book, and share it with everyone you know that loves to color. She also hopes that these coloring pages will give you some kindness ideas that you can use in your own life. Spread that kindness around like confetti!
Funded by ArtsInStark
The following Freeda's Footsteps books were funded by a grant provided by ArtsInStark. Through this grant, the goal was to provide one or more books and printable resources that childen in Stark County could learn from and enjoy. These resources are also featured and available at Cantonology, which is located at 306 4th St. NW, Canton, OH 44702.
On behalf of Freeda and myself, I would like to take this opportunity to thank ArtsInStark for their generous grant funding of art special projects throughout the Stark County area.

Do you want to tell the story of your community - both its past and present? Great! Freeda would love to help! Invite her to your community, and help her create a fun story book or coloring book that kids can use to learn more about where they live.
As Freeda goes around town, sharing the local landmarks and sites, she can also give kids a glimpse back in history. Using her heart-shaped "looking back glass" she can peek back in time to show historic scenes, buildings, events and more.
Freeda knows that people "take care of what they love, and love what they take care of." Teaching children more about their community is one of the best ways to nurture the future leaders that communities will need to grow and thrive.
